1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms, as well as carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. For this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to prevent it from clogging. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station, if needed.
This robot has an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or refilled. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can easily pick up dust and debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are solid as well, though it is sometimes hung up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent, with a pair spinning mop heads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent it can navigate tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested to not have issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it did not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. This device also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you want to keep out of the app.
